Speech on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Sanitation Campaign) – Best Speech on Importance of Cleanliness (on Clean India Mission)
My greetings to all the brothers, sisters and loved ones present here. As you all know cleanliness is a healthy habit and nowadays, the government is giving too much emphasis on this. Many mass movements were started for cleanliness. Among these, one of the most comprehensive and important mass movement is Swach Bharat Abhiyan.
We all have to achieve the goal of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which is launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and this can be done by associating with this Sanitation Campaign. Nationally launched Sanitation Campaign is the fastest and revolutionary initiative of the Government of India which aims to ensure the access to all the cities of India, the streets of rural areas, clean streets and access to all basic hygiene.
The aim of Swachh Bharat Mission is to clean India by running a campaign. We are all determined to take this mission to the goal and to create clean, healthy and clean India. Because cleanliness is very important for human life.
Gandhiji has said that “every person of this society should do his cleanliness on his own.” There have been many types of instructions regarding cleanliness and cleanliness in our scriptures, but the reality is that all our Pilgrim places have a lot of dirt. In fact, lakhs of pilgrims arrive at religious places in different events but unaware of the importance of sanitation spread a large amount of dirt .
One of the major reasons for the dirty spot everywhere in our country is that we are forced by the habbit of throwing garbage anywhere. People want to keep their homes neat and clean but throw the garbage in the vicinity . This is the reason that roads and lanes of cities and villages remain dirty. People believe that the work of cleaning the roads is only to be done by government agencies and it is their whole responsibilty. Most of us do not think seriously about this if our neighborhood will not be clean, how much we keep our house clean, the dirt around will make us sick.
Unless our houses and roads are dirty, we can not call ourselves civilized and cultured. Today, it can not be denied that many of the deadly diseases are flourishing due to the bad habit of poorer people defecating outside (in the open environment) rather than into a toilet. The problem of child malnutrition in the country is scary.
People have challenged the Government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan saying that it is only a few days of campaign going on. Even if there is a truth in it, then it should also be asked who is responsible for it ? Actually, till we strengthen this campaign, this issue will continue to be raised in this way.
This kind of invasion campaign has never been launched before on cleanliness. Actually nobody has ever thought that this campaign could be so effective in national interest. The responsibility of taking forward this effective campaign is now on the shoulders of all of us. It is very important to reach the fundamentals of cleanliness in terms of the overall interest of the society.
Crores of rupees are spent officially on health system in India every year. How many children’s life ends when they wear garbage. Garbage management has also emerged as a major problem with the increasing population. Therefore, new ways of employment can be opened for the common man by recycling the used items. With this where new jobs will be created, proper waste disposal will not only improve the health of people it will also reduce the wasteful expenditure on our healthcare expenses.
Therefore, it is our duty and responsibility to provide full support in keeping the country clean by following the policies of clean India. Use green and blue dustbins for wet and dry garbage. Cooperate in the hygiene campaign run across the country. Do not defecation in open because defecation in open is a punishable offense. Do not use restricted polythene, it is also a punishable offense.
After all, the biggest asset is your health. It is said that health is wealth and health is everything. Therefore, do not ignore the above mentioned cleaning to get this money. The responsibility of cleaning is not just of government or administration. In this, the role of every citizen of the country is important. If we the Indians are not aware of it then it is not possible to succeed in the cleanliness campaign.
